You can see some extensive football gameplay in action, such as some of the characters using special abilities and skills on the pitch. It seems that each character will have their own unique skills that they can master and use. As Mario Strikers: Battle League features 10 playable characters at launch and has some notable omissions from that roster, many have expressed frustration with the game's meager offerings at launch. But as with other recent Mario sports games, Nintendo will try to make amends with post-release updates.
